On Friday, May 23rd, at 7:00 p.m., the short story "Las aventuras de Mairim la piratita valiente" by Alberto Fariñas, a native of Santiago de Compostela living in Boqueixón, will be presented in the Cultural Area of ​​El Corte Inglés in Santiago de Compostela.

This will be a family event, where the author himself will host a storytelling session.

Synopsis of the story:

On the magical Adventure Island, Mairim, a curious little pirate, finds a treasure map that leads her on a great adventure. Together with her new friends, the talking parrot Lucas and the playful dolphin Luna, they explore extraordinary islands and discover wonderful surprises. Throughout her journey, Mairim will discover that true treasures are not found in chests of gold, but in friendship, fun, and unforgettable shared adventures. Get ready for a story full of laughter and discovery!

Implicit values ​​in the story: Curiosity and exploration drive Mairim and her friends to live great adventures, teaching the importance of teamwork and collaboration. The characters show how friendship, mutual respect, and connection with nature enrich our lives, highlighting values ​​such as solidarity and the joy of discovering together.

About Alberto Fariñas (Santiago de Compostela, 1990). From a young age, he felt a great curiosity about the world around him and developed a deep appreciation for stories that allowed him to travel to distant and fantastic places. This passion for discovery led him to pursue a degree in tourism with the intention of sharing the cultural richness and charms of his region with visitors from around the world.

He has never abandoned his love for literature, especially children's literature. He firmly believes that children's books are a window to the imagination, a powerful tool for teaching values, and a way to create unforgettable memories. Writing for young children is a way to contribute to their development and foster a love of reading from an early age.

His dream is that his stories reach many children and inspire them to dream, explore, and learn, just as he did as a child.
