On Friday, May 16, to commemorate Galician Literature Day, poet and writer Rosalía Morlán will be at the El Corte Inglés bookstore in Santiago de Compostela, signing copies of her work.

Rosalía writes fiction, poetry, and teather. She made her poetic vocation public in 2010 with the book A coitada lúa (2010, honorable mention of the 2009 ARUME Poetry Prize), dedicated to her granddaughter, who she says inspired her to focus her poetry on the world of children. This book is followed in the children's category by: Estrelas de azucre (2012), O castelo da Rocha Forte (2014), Canta a lúa coas estrelas (2015), O dragón Antón e o sapo Rosendo (2019). She also published the children's play O libro do mundo dos soños (2013). 

In adult poetry, Nas rúas de Compostela (2016) and Camellias de amor (2021).

He wong the recipients of the 2011 Brisa Marina Prize for Sea Poetry and the Hernán Esquío Poetry Prize (2012 and 2018).

Rosalía Morlán Vieites (Trazo, 1959), she holds a degree in Nursing (DUE), is an associate professor at the USC School of Nursing, and is secretary of the Neira Vilas Foundation.

At the age of six, she moved to Santiago de Compostela and has never left a city of which she says: "It's mine, which I really like, although I certainly don't renounce my origins, my village of Vilariño," in her native Trazo, which is present in her literary work as an emotional setting. In March 2025, she was recognized as "Trazo's favorite daughter."
