CHAIRWOMAN Cristina Álvarez Guil
Cristina Álvarez is Chairwoman of the El Corte Inglés Board of Directors and of the Ramón Areces Foundation.
A qualified economist, she has a sound professional background at El Corte Inglés, which she joined in 1992. Over more than three decades, she has held positions of responsibility in different areas of the business, enabling her to acquire in-depth knowledge of both retail and the Group's businesses as a whole.
In recent years, she has led key projects for the transformation of centres and the design and development of formats oriented towards innovation and customer experience.
A member of the Board of Directors since 2015, she has been a member of all the Board Committees, making a significant contribution to strengthening corporate governance at El Corte Inglés.
Married and mother of two children, she is passionate about culture, especially art and music.
